Our Puebla Getaway will have you travel to the birthplace of the Mexican Revolution and discover one of Mexico’s major colonial cities where architecture, food and tradition blend together. Puebla is one of Mexico’s colonial gems that will take visitors traveling through time. Located a little less than two hours from Mexico City, Puebla is a city travelers interested in history, architecture and gastronomy will not want to miss.
Located 120 km southeast of Mexico City, the colonial city of Puebla, despite its 1.5 million inhabitants, has managed to keep a small town feel to it. Famous for the battle where Mexico triumphed over the French, birthplace of the Mexican Revolution and “Mole” sauce, Puebla is one of Mexico’s colonial gems. Classified as World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1987, Puebla’s historic center has hundreds of exquisite colonial buildings and over 70 churches. During the course of our 2-day getaway we will explore Puebla’s historic center, its cathedral and other famous colonial landmarks. During your 36 hours in Puebla, you will stroll its streets, meet its people, discover its gastronomy and, best of all, travel across the centuries…
