Detailed Itinerary

During our 5-hour architecture tour guided by a licensed architect, discover some of the works of a prolific architect and urban planner whose career spanned over more than six decades.

The first part of the Mario Pani Tour will focus on his most ambitious plan, the Nonoalco Tlatelolco Urban Complex, a monumental social housing project which aimed to provide affordable housing for low income families while doing away with the slums of northern neighborhoods of Mexico City.

The second half of the tour will focus on the period when Mario Pani grew closer to the circles of power, and his focus switched to large scale public works such as the National Music Conservatory and the National School of Teachers. It will also have you explore several of Pani s residential buildings, among which the Condominio Reforma Guadalquivir building, which allowed the architect to establish his unique design signature.
